History
The origin of A.R. Hughes & Company dates back to 1932 when Arthur M. Fisher, a designated Member of the newly established American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers, founded Arthur M. Fisher and Company. Mr. Fisher guided the company through the next three turbulent decades establishing a tradition of reliable service in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
In 1965 Wilbur S. Ratcliffe joined Arthur M. Fisher and Company and subsequently established Wilbur S. Ratcliffe and Company in 1968.
In 1969 Paul V. Cali joined the reorganized Ratcliffe, Cali and Company and assumed ownership and management in 1972.
In 1990 Dennis Duffy, MAI and Albert R. Hughes III, MAI accepted management responsibilities of the newly formed Ratcliffe, Cali, Duffy, Hughes and Company. A.R. Hughes & Company is the Philadelphia affiliate of the RCDH Companies created in 1993 and serving markets located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
Throughout the almost 75 years of continuous appraisal service to the Mid-Atlantic market area, the Company has been closely held under stable and effective management which has allowed for gradual, continuous and orderly growth.
